I wanted to share an awesome gem of a farm our family discovered called Mellano Farm Stand, located in Oceanside, California. It is a family owned and operated Farm Stand which offers fresh farm produce, eggs, bee pollen, olive oil and flowers.
I found out about this farm through a post on Instagram and saw they were doing tractor rides every weekend for $5 per ride every ticket includes a bouquet of fresh flowers. After I saw the post for fresh flowers I was SOLD (I love FRESH flowers)!
Upon arrival we found out about a U-PICK sunflower field. If you bring your own clippers, you pay $1 per stem. Otherwise, they do sell clippers for $10. They also have plenty of produce, fresh eggs (regular $3/dozen and jumbo $4/dozen), local honey, bee pollen and fresh bouquets of flowers for sale. The farm stand also sells produce boxes every Thursday for $20 which includes a fresh bouquet of flowers as well.
This FALL they are planning to host events and farm tours along with a pumpkin patch which will be open to the public. We are looking forward to bringing the family back this Fall!
